Miranda Swan (she/her)

Office Administrator

Born in the Peace River-Liard Campus - the traditional land of the Doig River First Nation, Blueberry River First Nation, and Halfway River First Nation - Miranda calls Fort St. John her first home. In 2003, Miranda relocated to Fort McMurray, the traditional meeting ground, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Dene, Dane-zaa, and Metis.

Miranda is dedicated to challenging colonial narratives that perpetuate oppressive and harmful rhetoric and is steadfast in her commitment to truth and reconciliation. She envisions a country – and a world – that prioritizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice for all people.

Miranda is a seasoned administrator and is currently completing her Bachelor of Commerce through Athabasca University. In February 2024, she joined Boreal Therapy Collective as our office administrator.

With a natural ability to connect with others, Miranda’s kindness and empathy are evident to all that come to know her. She is passionate about mental health care and reducing the stigma that sometimes comes with accessing therapeutic and counselling support.

When reaching out to Boreal Therapy Collective, rest assured that you will be met by the kindest person who will make it her mission to ensure you receive the care you need to thrive.

The right support can make all the difference.
