Kenneth was born and raised in Nova Scotia – the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq nation. As a treaty person, Kenneth respects the histories, languages, and cultures of all first peoples of Canada and is committed to collective healing, truth, and reconciliation. True to this intention, Kenneth is self-reflective and is dedicated to practicing in a way that is anti-oppressive and person-centred.

Throughout his career, Kenneth has supported children, teens, adults, couples, and families. He has worked within child protection, correctional services, public education, post-secondary education, healthcare, legal aid, and non-profit. Through his work within several government departments and institutions, Kenneth witnessed the systemic injustices that create health and social inequities for many people.

In his therapeutic work, Kenneth strives to provide an environment that is strengths-based and trauma-informed, where people feel safe, respected, and heard. Kenneth has received clinical training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), emotion-focused couples therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
